EVALUATION PROCESS

The school has an integrated curriculum for preparing students through various stages for the AISCE / AISSCE Examination held by the CBSE, New Delhi.

As per the new CBSE guidelines, the school follows Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). Whole academic year is divided in two terms. Term I is from April to September and term II is from October to March.

The academic session consists of two terms constituting two Formative and one Summative Assessment in each term. Formative Assessment 1 and 2 (FA1 & FA2) and Summative Assessment1(SA1)is conducted in the First Term and Formative Assessment 3 and 4(FA 3 and FA 4 ) along with Summative Assessment II ( SA II ) is conducted in the Second Term.

The assessments for scholastic subjects is based on Grades allotted on a nine point scale of A1- D with corresponding Grade Points of 10.0 – 4.0 as per the CBSE formulation. A child securing Grade E1 or E2 or a Grade Point less than 4.0 will have to sit for re-examinations to get a clearance. Grades will also be awarded for work experience, attitude and values, life skills, visual and performing arts, literary and scientific skills as well as co-curricular activities.

The Formative Assessment (FAs) comprises of written test , class work , home work, oral questions, quizzes, projects, assignments and other activity based evaluations while the summative Assessments (SAs) will be a term end pen and paper examination based on full course of a term. Each of the Formative Assessments will carry a weightage of 10%. While the weightage for each Summative Assessment is 30%. The total of all Formative and Summative Assessments will be calculated at the end of the year.

All the students have to compulsorily appear for the term ending (SA I and SA II) exams as per schedule. In case of medical / duty leave the student will have to appear for a separate exam on a freshly allotted date. No other leave will be entertained except on the discretion of the Principal. In case of any other leave during exam, zero marks will be awarded in the concerned subject (except for class IX – X).

Students of class XI are required to pass with a minimum of 33% marks in the theory and practical exams separately in subjects involving practical.

Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory for appearing in the S.A.II Examination.

The students of classes X and XII will follow the examination scheme as approved by the Board. They will have to deposit the school fees up to May.
