Recognition of International Dimension in School (RIDS)
Embracing Global Collaboration in partnership with British Council, U.K.
SVV proudly presents the Recognition of International Dimension in School (RIDS) program, in partnership with the British Council, UK in the academic year 2024-25. This initiative sets the stage for an exciting journey of global collaboration and cultural exchange for our students. This remarkable initiative aims to enhance our students' global perspectives through meaningful international engagements.
Under the RIDS program, our students will embark on a journey of learning and discovery by participating in seven distinct projects. These projects are designed to broaden their horizons, foster cultural empathy, and tackle pressing global challenges. By collaborating with esteemed schools across the globe, our students will gain invaluable experiences and insights. Our partner schools in this program include:
Steinmühle International School, Germany
Raglan CiW VC Primary School, UK
John Blow Primary School, UK
Greenfield Special School, UK
Dongduk Girls' High School, South Korea
Through RIDS, we empower our students as global citizens, equipped with the skills, knowledge, and empathy to thrive in an interconnected world.
With these collaborations, our students engage in diverse cultural exchanges, work on joint initiatives, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. The RIDS program represents an exciting opportunity for our students to connect with their peers internationally, fostering a spirit of global citizenship and mutual respect.
SVV is the only school in the Gujarat region to have received the International School Award (former name of RIDS) from the British Council twice, for the terms 2015-2018 and 2018-2021.
The RIDS program initiates a positive impact on the students, as they explore new cultures, address global issues, and build lasting friendships with their international counterparts.
